Architecture has always fascinated me and I’ve always looked to it for inspiration.  The first time this came into fruition was when I started my line of Bridal Tiaras.  I had taken a holiday in the South of France and was captured by the beauty of the buildings. So much so that I was inspired to paint, as I looked closer I noticed the beautiful ornate wrought ironwork.

However I would say the turning point was my time living and working in New York, where the buildings were vast. One of my all-time favourites is  the Chrysler Building simply because I love Art Deco.  I was truly embracing all that was around me and using it in all in my work.  Today I still refer back to sketches from this time for inspiration.

Architecture and Jewellery share the same language, volume, face, structure, geometry and plan.

The geometry and light is extremely important in cutting a stone  and making the best of its colour and beauty and this also applies in architecture.

Our Architecture and our Jewellery reflect how we see ourselves, how we want to be seen, in other words creating a statement, hence the description of a ring being a ‘Statement piece’.

How do you want to be seen?……
