Opal is a gemstone renowned for its unique play-of-color, displaying a
vibrant spectrum of colours caused by light diffraction through silica
spheres. Unlike crystalline gemstones, opal is composed of amorphous silica.
Opals are primarily sourced from Australia and Ethiopia, each with distinct
characteristics:
Australian Opals: Found in sedimentary rocks, these opals are known for
their stability and vibrant play-of-color. They are durable and resistant
to water, making them less prone to cracking or crazing.
Ethiopian Opals: Discovered in volcanic deposits, Ethiopian opals often
exhibit hydrophane properties, meaning they can absorb water and change
color or transparency

Delivery Information
- Place your order securely via our website.
- If needed, we will send you a ring sizer and an email to which you will need to reply with the size you need after using the ring sizer.
- Our dedicated team will begin hand crafting your piece of jewellery. Please see the ‘How its made?’ page for further details.
- Final inspection and Quality Control will be done in person by Fenella Baskerville.
- Your item is despatched (normally 4-5 weeks after order confirmation) using a fully trackable and fully insured delivery service in discrete packaging.
- You then leave us a fantastic review in exchange for a discount code on your next purchase. :)
Returns
We are confident you will love your jewellery, but should you have made the wrong selection you can return your item within 30 days and we will be happy to arrange an exchange or a full refund for you (please be aware that, on international deliveries, we cannot refund any import duties or taxes).
