Meeting new clients is always very exciting and I feel privileged to hear their journey and how they have ended up coming to me.

I always say every piece of jewellery I make tells a story and this piece was no exception…..

When I was asked by a 90 year old jeweller to design and make a very special pair of earrings I was thrilled to take on the task

‘I studied fine art and design at Leeds College of Art and started making jewellery under Anne O’Donnell Tutorship and then went on to have my own premises in Chaple Allerton and made jewellery for clients and Galleries in Harrogate and Leeds.  However I retired from Jewellery making as my hands were no longer strong or steady enough to make small and delicate pieces of jewellery.

My son in law introduced me to Fenella who had already made a ring for my daughter using combined jewellery and gems from redundant items from favorite Aunts, I was delighted with the finished piece and so commissioned Fenella to make a pair of emerald earrings that I had always wanted. Id always loved Emeralds from being a young girl as had admired some Emerald jewellery belonging to both my Uncles wifes, sadly I never inherited them and so treated myself to my own pair designed and made by Fenella with my input.  They are stunning.’
